The Building (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2010 come into force on 1st October 2010. On 6th April the Scottish Government released the 2010 versions of the domestic and non-domestic Technical Handbooks which contain updated guidance and also come into force on the 1st October. We have prepared a summary of the contents that relate to ventilation, particularly the provision of trickle vents, security and energy saving measures for new buildings, conversions, extensions and replacement doors, windows and rooflights. We have included links to relevant documents and I would encourage Members to look at the full details which can be found by kevin.underwood@bwf.org.uk  if you wish to discuss any of the issues covered.
