B&Q Homefit Service seeks BWF members for installation work

The NSCC, of which the BWF is a member, is working in partnership with B&Q to offer householders a full installation service on a wide range of B&Q products. Eligible BWF members can now apply to become a B&Q Homefit Approved Tradesman via a streamlined application process which could help them to grow their customer base.

With householders increasingly looking for professional and reputable contractors to undertake work on their homes, often because they cannot or should not be ‘doing it themselves’, NSCC is working with B&Q to increase the number of Homefit Approved Tradesmen across the UK. B&Q prides itself on the quality of its installers and the partnership with NSCC will give B&Q customers the confidence to improve their homes, safe in the knowledge that the products will be installed for them by Approved Tradesmen, which are also endorsed by the Which? Trusted Traders scheme.

NSCC Specialist Contractors can apply to become B&Q Homefit Approved Tradesmen in the following range of trades:

Electrical
Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom Installation
Loft Insulation
Painting and Decorating
Plumbing and Heating
Tiling and Flooring
Windows and Doors.

As they already meet the agreed membership criteria of an NSCC member trade organisation, NSCC Specialist Contractors can complete the B&Q Homefit application process by filling out a simplified application form and arranging a site visit with a B&Q representative.

Agreed price schedules are provided for each type of installation and work is allocated through an online installer diary. Payments for work are made by B&Q within 30 days and no retention is withheld.

With most Specialist Contractors citing that the main reason they join a trade association is to win more work, this is a unique opportunity for NSCC Specialist Contractors to differentiate themselves from their non-member competitors.
