LGV Drivers Must Complete 35 Hours Of TrainingThe legal requirement for professional drivers of lorries and vans over 3.5 tonnes to undertake 35 hours of approved training must be completed by 9th September 2014.

The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is a mandatory requirement under Government plans to improve road safety. Those that do not complete training by the above date will no longer be able to drive LGV for a living.

Proskills in partnership with Focale Training are introducing a Proskills Driver CPC card to raise awareness of of the requirement and raise the standard of the traingin provided. All employers have a duty of care to ensure that employees are safe and well trained.
