Credits are available for Lifetime Homes under the health and wellbeing section of the Code for Sustainable Homes and Lifetime Homes is a mandatory requirement for homes built to code level 6.

There are recommendations for incorporating Lifetime Homes into building funded by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). However the future of the HCA is under as part of the Government’s programme to make quangos more accountable to the public and cut their running costs.

The following are guidelines from the HCA:

• Programmes inherited from English Partnerships are subject to the existing Quality Standards – Delivering Quality Places November 2007.
