QWood launch Rain Deflector for timber doors at BWF Members Day

18 May 2018

Once again, The British Woodworking Federation (BWF) is holding its annual Members Day Conference on 13th June 2017 at the Hellidon Lakes Golf & Spa Hotel near Daventry, Northampton.

The theme for the event is ‘Build it Better with Wood’, as BWF sets out to promote the woodworking sector and set a challenge to drive businesses to be even better at what they do. However, as all Joiners know, there is a ‘knotty problem’ that can so often inhibit their profitable performance. Knots and warping of beads and bars!

For more than 10 years Qwood has been providing the solution to this problem and has continued to develop accessory profiles that help Joiners reduce waste and save time. A profitable combination!

Qwood composite beads and bars for timber windows and doors are knot free, stay straight and can be fabricated and painted just like real timber. Above all, they don’t rot which means no returns to site for costly maintenance to deteriorating beads. Qwood beads stay ‘as new’!

The innovative Qwood range includes:

* Bonding bars

* Glazing Beads

* Staff and Parting Beads (including ‘patent applied for’ clip-in options)

* Drip Beads

* Bolection Moulds

And to be launched at this BWF event; A new RAIN DEFLECTOR for timber and composite doors. This composite profile has all the traditional benefits of Qwood. It has none of the disadvantages of standard aluminium deflectors that are heavy, expensive and discolour over time.

Qwood is pleased to support the BWF as a Sliver Sponsor of ‘Build it Better with Wood'. Qwood staff will be in attendance on their stand. Come and discuss how Qwood can help your business reduce waste, save time……. and be better at what you do!
