BWF Windows & Doors Technical Group Meeting 15th February 2017

Our woodworking technical support is at the core of our service to our members.  We offer a vast resource library that members can access to help them solve technical issues they have, that is specifically tailored for the woodworking and joinery industry. A key element of this support is our technical groups and meetings. The next BWF Windows & Doors Technical Meeting will be hosted by SCM in Nottingham and will be held on Wednesday 15 February 2016.


10:00 to 10:30 – arrival and coffee

10:30 to 12:30 – morning session

12:30 to 13:00 – lunch

13:00 to 15:00 – afternoon session

- CE marking of fire doorsets

- Internal Doorsets product standard (FprEN 14351-2)

- New Standards

- Review of BS 644 Timber windows and doors

- Review of BS 6150 code of practice for painting buildings

- Review of BS 8214 code of practice for timber fire door assemblies

Building Regulations

- Approved Document Q – Security – members experiences

Material Health

– Cradle to Cradle assessment

Environmental Product Declarations


Indoor air quality

– EC delegated act on VOC emission
